Team members, roles and client viewers
Invite your team with roles, and give clients a read-only viewer login that shows only the uptime of their own sites.
Invite people in Settings → Team. Everyone signs in with their own account, so you never share a password.
Roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including billing and deleting the team |
| Admin | Everything except deleting the team: members, API tokens, alerts, monitors |
| Member | Monitors, sites, alerts, maintenance and status pages |
| Viewer | Reads only the monitors you pick for them |
Members and admins come with the Team plan. Solo has one user, but can still invite viewers.
Give a client access to their uptime
A viewer is the simplest way to show clients how their site is doing without giving them your whole dashboard:
- Open Settings → Team and choose Viewer as the role.
- Pick the monitors the client should see and send the invitation.
- The client signs in and sees only those monitors – their uptime, outages and response times. Your other clients, alerts, billing and settings stay hidden.
You can change a viewer's monitors at any time with Monitors next to their name.
| Plan | Viewers | Monitors per viewer |
|---|---|---|
| Free | – | – |
| Solo | 3 | 5 |
| Team | 20 | 10 |
Viewers do not take a user seat. A WordPress site connected through the plugin can have up to three monitors (uptime, SSL certificate and domain expiry); each one you pick counts.
Other ways to keep clients informed
- A status page, on your own domain if you like, shows the uptime publicly.
- On Team, a white-label PDF report with your logo goes to each client on the first of the month.
See pricing for what each plan includes.
