Connect many sites with a connect key

Pair dozens or hundreds of sites from WP-CLI, ManageWP, MainWP or wp-config.php without opening each admin.

A connect key links sites to your account without clicking through every WordPress admin. It is meant for agencies and anyone with many sites.

Create a key

  1. In the dashboard, open Sites.
  2. Under Connect keys, create a key and give it a name, for example the name of a client.
  3. Copy the key. It starts with uwpck_ and is shown only once.

Anyone with the key can add sites to your account, so treat it like a password. Revoke it in the same place when you no longer need it; sites already connected stay connected.

Connect with WP-CLI

Install and activate the plugin, then run:

wp uptimeglass connect uwpck_your_key --email=alerts@agency.com

--email is optional and sets where alerts for this site go. The command works well in a loop over many sites or from the script runner of ManageWP or MainWP.

Connect with wp-config.php

Add this line to wp-config.php:

define( 'UWP_CONNECT_KEY', 'uwpck_your_key' );

The plugin then connects the site by itself.

Limits

Every connected site is one monitor. When your plan is full, add a monitor pack or move to a larger plan.
