What UptimeGlass monitors
Uptime monitoring that understands WordPress: what broke, why, and whether it is really down.
WordPress monitoring from outside and inside
Every check loads the site like a visitor and reads the answer. A page that says "Error establishing a database connection", "There has been a critical error on this website" or shows a PHP fatal error counts as down, even when the server says 200 OK.
The plugin adds what only WordPress knows: whether the database answers, whether WP-Cron still runs and the last fatal error with the plugin it came from.
Fewer false alarms
A failed check is repeated 15 seconds later before an alert goes out. WordPress maintenance mode is shown as maintenance; you hear about it only if an update is stuck for 15 minutes.
When our plugin updates itself, the check falls back to your home page, so the chart has no gap and you get no alert. Backups and automatic updates can pause checks for 10 minutes from inside the plugin.
Update Guard
Right after a plugin or WordPress core update, we check the site again. If it broke, the alert names the update – "WooCommerce 9.4.1 → 9.5.0" – and the file the fatal error points to.
WooCommerce shops
Checks every 30 seconds on Team, alerts within seconds of the confirmation, and keyword checks for the cart or checkout page so you notice when the shop loads but cannot sell.
SSL certificates and domains
Every connected site includes SSL and domain expiry. You get a reminder 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before a certificate or domain runs out, and an alert for a broken certificate chain or a wrong host name.
Status pages
A public page with the Uptime Matrix of the sites you choose and notices about incidents. Solo and Team put it on your own domain with a certificate we take care of; Team adds your own HTML and CSS.
Reports for clients
Team sends a white-label PDF report on the first day of each month: uptime per site, outages with their cause, response times and certificate dates, with your logo and colours.
Everyone gets a weekly summary by e-mail.
Alerts where you work
E-mail on every plan; Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram and signed webhooks on Solo and Team; SMS on Team. Each alert says what failed, since when and what the page answered.
History you can go back to
Checks are summarised into hours and days and kept for 5 years on Team. Go from a single day to a whole year in the same chart.
API
Team accounts manage monitors and read checks, incidents and status pages through a REST API with team tokens.
