WooCommerce uptime monitoring that knows when the shop cannot sell
A shop can load perfectly and still lose every order: a missing payment form, a cart broken by an update, a database that gives up during a sale. UptimeGlass checks the pages that earn money and asks WordPress what went wrong.
How WooCommerce shops fail quietly
The checkout loads, but nobody can pay
A payment gateway or theme update removes the payment form. The page still answers 200 OK. A keyword check that expects "Place order" on the checkout page fails at once.
An update breaks the cart
Right after a plugin or WordPress core update we check the shop again. If it broke, the alert names the update – "WooCommerce 9.4.1 → 9.5.0" – and the file the fatal error points to.
The database gives up during a sale
Carts and checkouts are never cached, so traffic peaks hit the database. "Error establishing a database connection" is reported as exactly that, confirmed by a second check.
Orders wait because WP-Cron stopped
WooCommerce relies on scheduled actions for e-mails, stock and renewals. When scheduled tasks stop running, you get an alert before customers ask where their order is.
A monitoring setup for a shop
- Install the plugin – the shop is monitored from the outside and from inside WordPress.
- Add the cart and checkout pages as their own monitors with a keyword check (from Solo, every 1 minute).
- Send alerts where someone reacts – Slack, Telegram, Microsoft Teams or SMS on Team.
- Show customers a status page during incidents, on your own domain.

Questions
Can you check that customers can actually pay?
Yes. Add the checkout page as its own monitor with a keyword check for text such as "Place order". If the payment form disappears, the check fails even though the page still answers 200 OK. Keyword checks come with Solo and Team.
Do I need a WooCommerce-specific plugin?
No. The same UptimeGlass plugin works for every WordPress site. It reports database errors, PHP fatal errors after updates and stopped WP-Cron, which WooCommerce relies on for e-mails, stock and renewals.
How fast do I hear about a broken shop?
Team checks every 30 seconds. A failure is confirmed by a second check before the alert goes out, so short hiccups do not wake you up, and real outages reach you within a minute.
Will the checks create orders or fill carts?
No. Checks only load pages and read them like a visitor. They do not add products, create orders or log in.
