Status page on your own domain
Point your own host name at a status page with a CNAME and a TXT record; the certificate is created for you.
On Solo and Team a status page can live on your own host name, for example status.agency.com.
Add the domain
- Open the status page in Status pages and find Custom domain.
- Enter the host name and add it. The page shows two DNS records.
Create the DNS records
At your DNS provider, create:
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | status.agency.com |
the status host shown in the dashboard |
| TXT | _uptimeglass.status.agency.com |
the verification token shown in the dashboard |
The TXT record proves that you control the domain.
Verify
Click Verify. DNS changes can take a few minutes, sometimes longer. Once verified, the first visit to the host name creates an HTTPS certificate automatically; it renews itself.
Cloudflare
If the domain is on Cloudflare, set the CNAME record to DNS only (grey cloud) so the certificate can be issued.
Remove a domain
Remove the domain in the dashboard, then delete the DNS records. A leftover CNAME shows a plain "not found" page.
